Zikr is the Sufi practice of remembrance through repetition — chanting a name or phrase until meaning dissolves into pure sound, pure being. This painting enacts that process visually: a portrait built from 800 translucent layers of oil glaze, each nearly invisible, accumulating into depth and presence.
