Torsion I

Description

Cast bronze, 68 cm tall. A form that appears to be twisting against itself — or releasing itself from a twist. The surface is left raw from the casting, its texture a record of the wax original. This piece is about the body's memory of effort: the way muscles hold the shape of strain long after strain has passed.
